Once a great desert nation, the nation of Xexoria suffered a great loss after the Apocalypse of Utopia. Now an Island nation, Xexoria is going through great changes.

It was his wish that I warn you.
I am not surprised…his plans were ever meant to foil my own.
I cannot speak of that, but I will say that he need not have warned you.
No, I suppose not.
Would you have me return you to your men?
No. I have other plans.
I see. Very well then, do as you must.

She was unlike anyone he had ever had. Her form, lithe and frail had been scarred and distorted. Shackles had been bound to her wrists, a reminder of her eternal status, yet she did not behave as a slave. She did not cry out when he took her, nor did she protest when his hands closed about her throat during climax. She was a strange thing, the Djinn.

Abruptly he felt the cool air that had been cloistered about him rip away to be replaced by the heat of the desert sun. He could feel the familiar heat, but there was no light and a weight had settled all about his body. Trying to move his arms, Syre found them incapable of the task, it was only then that he recognized the taste of sand upon his lips.

She takes things quite literal, this one.

The sands parted and from the darkness he was reborn. There in the desert, sand caked eye lids fluttered open to peer up at the white hot sun. He breathed deep. Nothing happened. He waited a moment before breathing again and still there was nothing. A smile tugged at the corner of his lips, but Syre refused to celebrate just yet. It was a strange sight, the tall robed man standing amidst a pile of sand, breathing heavily. With every exhalation dust came off of his form, riding the wind off to places unknown.

Staring out at the expansive desert, Syre couldn’t help but revel in his newfound freedom. His life had been returned to him, that curse, that sickness had been lifted. Lithe digits clenched and released. When the consumption had taken hold of him, Syre had been forced to put his dreams of global conquest aside. Leaving the desert was not an option. The land he had been born in had become a necessity, the harsh dry climate proving to be the only environment he could function in. Such restrictions no longer applied to him, now. He was free to go anywhere of his choosing to gather more forces and to brand his name across the pages of history.

His army would wait for him. They were in good hands with Tourn and his other generals, granted they would cause a little more trouble than was necessary, but such things could not be helped. Syre had returned and he had plans to set into motion.

Taking a deep breath, Syre chuckled. He had returned and soon the whole world would know his name.
