Is it wrong that when I saw the title of this thread, I thought it was going to be a rant by Nate at the trees in Darkwatch for being completely indestructible, whether you're Ven or not? xD

It's not too long of a story, really. Basically what happened was Kyle and I had a T1 battle. Kyle had these arenas set up in his RP country of Algeroth, and in those arenas, there was a sort of anti-death field. So, two combatants could go at it, but neither would die, regardless. The arena we picked was under this place that these bigass trees were keeping up.

So, I get a little carried away in this battle, and have Ven totally destroy everything after, like, an eight prepped attacked.

And yeah, he totally killed everything with a massive shockwave.

Everything except the aforementioned trees. Kyle absolutely refused to let those trees fall. In fact, he was pretty angry when I had a judge called in, to insist that the trees were at least damaged.

Fuckin' trees, anyways.

You know, that kind of makes sense, Nate. If you have an anti-death field, and nothing in the field can die, wouldn't that include the trees?

Also, Dean, I have you quoted on this now. I know what Wood you're really talking about...

I judged that particular fight, actually. In which I commented on the trees, and it went from there. Also, as far as I can remember, the anti-death field had nothing to do with the forest, and even if it did; damage could be inflicted on the duelers, so damage could also be done to the trees--logically. If memory serves, the forest was blessed by a God or some shit, I don't remember the exact mythos, though. Memory gets a little fuzzy, it's been at least a year and a half since this match happened, maybe longer. I do, however; remember a somewhat rabid defense towards the trees. And now I am depressed that the old site is gone and there was no back up of the RP.

Yes, well, in any event. I stand by it, I suppose. Wouldn't have let anyone else destroy them, especially not in a fight I'm involved in. xD And while I don't remember everything exactly right, nor do I have it backed up, I DO have the mythos as they were at the time, and it says the trees that hold up Darkwatch cannot be burned or hurt...unless it was a god attempting just that or something. /shrug I did, however, let you make a crater, destroy the other trees/bushes/plants and beat Sarah and all her alcohol-filled clones. ^^;
