Preferred name — Inara, though some call her Ara for short. Status — Alive (as of 5123 AC). Birthplace — Christonian, Xexoria. Nationality — Xexorian. Demeanor — A mixture of economically ruthless and scientifically curious, Inara is a treasure hunter and archeologist at heart. She finds joy in curiosity, exploration, and anthropology--but, of course, the more dangerous aspects of these catch her eye the most. More often than not, Inara displays herself as egotistical, thrill seeking, and sometimes even mildly sadistic-- but that, at least half of the time, is little more than a facade. Although calm and thoughtful, she actually prefers those around her to view her as something of a harmless, if not amusing, sociopath. . . . . History Inara's childhood was relatively troubled. Coming from a somewhat fundamentalist family in northern Xexoria, she was effectively subjugated and poorly treated in comparison to her brothers. Even her mother detested her. It wasn't actually until later in life that Inara learned that the mother she knew wasn't her true mother at all; her father had an extramarital affair with an eastern Ulsterian woman (accounting for Inara's hair color), who, upon giving birth, later abandoned the infant Inara. Her father took her in out of obligation, but never learned to love her like a daughter. |
She became a treasure hunter.
(There is, of course, more to her history than this-- but most of it will see RP one way or another.)

. . . . Talents
Athleticism — Inara's specialty as a treasure hunter was actually the more physical aspects of the trade. Agility and dexterity were her key attributes; as such, she is particularly fast and skilled on her feet. Inara can ascend rock walls that might even appear otherwise impossible, maintain balance across a long tightrope, and jump improbable distances . . . with a running start, of course.
Combat — Her trade often had her dealing with aggressive foes, be they some manner of competing hunter, ancient guardian, or otherwise. Inara inevitably developed techniques to get her through those annoying problems. She specializes with small blades and crossbows, and almost always carried daggers and a mini-crossbow into a job at all times.
Sciences — Above all, though, archeology and anthropology are, were, and will continue to be Inara's number one talent. She's well versed on human history, habitually researches the antiquity of every country she intends to visit, and can regularly spout off the most minute details about historical architecture, cultures, and languages.
"Sixth" sense — Suffice it to say, though, Inara would've never become a talented treasure hunter without a "sixth sense" for things. Inasmuch, she merely has great hunches. This can often end well for her, but also terribly at times. For example, provided she's scouring a ruin and comes to a crossroad with five paths, she can usually get a good feel for what's ultimately the best path to take . . . or the worst, and there's a 50/50 chance that she'll take either of the two (see below). This is most useful when coming across important objects, as she'll often acknowledge their value on a good hunch, whatever that value may be.
Devil's luck — While not a talent per say, Inara is either incredibly lucky or abysmally unlucky, and never in-between.
