Recruitment from other RP boards

Anyone else tired of getting recruited into other Rp boards?

I hate going to one, getting excited and then it ends up being drama infested. Everything that seems "fun" Ic, is really so the admin/mods character can gain perks from it. I'm also tired of the OOC being taken IC. If someone doesn't like something, just come to me please. Don't hide behind something and make it into something bigger.

I don't mind joining other forums, but I don't like being found out, it was just so someone could get a rewards system out of it.

Ugh...I just like plain old simple Rp.

What ever happened to that?

Another thing...I love how people bitch about one forum and then go back to the one they bitched about.

I have been sticking with Dystopia, because it isn't all about cliques (I hope not) and you can actually mod your own stuff.

With that being said, I plan on staying here a very long time.

I haven't experienced that, but I personally tried to Rp with whoever was interested. The board wasn't that active a year ago, but I'm happy to see more action on it.

I wouldn't have developed my chars so much, had it not been for the willingness of other Rper's and their plot ideas. I've Rped here since the old boards.

This year, is the first I've actually talked OOC this much with anyone. Still getting used to that fact.

Yea. Shin had to fight without his abilities... or a sword. He got owned by Sturm... shot in the back twice and thrown into a ravine where he presumably died by explosion!

Zach and I have tried an RP with Shin in heaven.... but that quickly fell apart and Zach stopped posting.

That's a cooler death than Vyl's...he just died by decapitation. By a mere human! Bah!

So throw ideas at me. I'm bored, sorta drunk and it's almost 9 pm. I come up with the best stuff when I'm almost drunk.

It was 'sorta' cool. It brings an end to that part of his story. But...the lack of climactic fight is a little saddening.

...and Shin is a mere human. He'd totally throw down against Val.

Technically, Utopia/Dystopia has always had something of a clique problem. It was harder for some people to find RP in the good old days because nearly every on-going thread on the previous incarnations (and even this forum, back when it was made) was a closed RP between two or three individuals. (A good example of this is Nate and Zach's threads, actually.) Doesn't matter now, though, since only a handful of posters still post.

This is a very true statement. It has always, ALWAYS been very cliquey. I rarely role-played with anyone other than a handful of people. For instance as long as I was around I do not think I ever played with Dean or Zach; though I believe we had characters that were acquainted as far as the Engimas went.

The only reason it's not cliquey at the moment (and it is a little bit) is because there are so few people. LoL.

That's true. I never really branched out. Only Rped with one person and whoever joined us at the time. Got kind of isolating, so I'm happy everyone is mingling again.
