Active threads...where?

I'm running into the problem of finding open and active threads anywhere. For the most part, it would seem that those that are active are more or less restricted to the chars already involved. I've certainly tried the whole beginning my own thread to have no one join whatsoever. I'm completely open to suggestion and I have quite a few ideas I could run with. I mean it is tough to feel like a contributing member of the site when conditions are like this.

I'll be glad to hear any ideas you have for characters or plots or accept your joining one of mine, just ask via PM/Yahoo. ^^;

Actually, this is usually what does it. Post a message saying that you're looking for a thread to join, and there'll be someone out there that'll attempt to steal you away for a thread of theirs.
