Avatar vs Avatar: The Battle to Behold
Setting: High flatland mountain top. (Almost as if this mountain top was artificially or catastrophically created)
Location: On the map of Dystopia, this confrontation takes place on the upper right landmass, well away from any distinct settlement of people.
Introduction:
Sweat poured down the sides of Gen's face and off his brow as he was free soloing his way toward the top of the mountain. The sun beat down on a very glorious day, and while he was a being of versatile abilities, his body reacted to the heat of the sun just the same as anyone else. Some would think that a being who could manipulate electromagnetism to the mastery in which he could, would have found a much easier way to scale the mountain. However not only was the climbing of the mountain a personal request of his True God, Gen also enjoyed the feeling of being a human and in so working his body in such a way that he could keep in touch with humanity. While his counterpart and greatest rival was more assertive and outgoing. Gen was more of a humble being who enjoyed the very simplistic teachings of those whom even though were human, could see past humanistic bounds with great wisdom.
Reaching one of the last handle positions he easily set his position to make the stretch to the ledge that was on the very top of the mountain. Pulling himself up after catching grip of the ledge, he rolled onto the mountain top and lay on his back for a few brief moments. Taking in the sun, and the triumph of reaching his final destination his head turning slightly to survey the rest of the flat mountain top. Interesting, I would have thought he'd beat me up here. Apparently I was wrong. Gen sat up, and then easily lifted himself to his feet, patting off the dust on his clothes. Also enjoying the feeling of his sweat going stale and cooling his body off a bit. Admittedly so he took quite a bit of pleasure in knowing that he had beat Tanso to the top of the mountain. While he would never outwardly project this to anyone, even Tanso, Gen was in fact a competitive soul even if it meant he would keep the pleasure of his victories nestled deep within his own mind.
Stretching his muscles out through various techniques, one must remember it's always important to stretch before and after any arduous workout. While he had beaten Tanso to the top of the mountain, he didn't expect his margin of victory to be by very much. So with the realization that his brother could arrive at any moment he had taken his stretching routine and turned it into a free moving kata of sorts. Not so much a trained set of structured moves, it was an ever flowing ever changing movements that could clearly look like it might have been a kata. With Shodan Kung Fu the emphasis was always on adaptability and fluidity, and thus had no structure to it. Each practitioner learned the initial way, then found their own way. No Shodan fighters were ever exactly the same, while also never being astronomically different either.
