Never Let Your Bleeding Show
We live such half lives
then we burn out
never let you bleeding show
sharks in the water
all the bad times we've come to know
we've never let the bleeding show
I just let the screaming grow
till you get tired of hearing
One breath and I let go
pressure against the hemorrage
Don't let the bleeding show
Winter wolves start circling
quickened by the blood
their jaws so hungry
pulses race, the heart pumping
so far left to go
don't let the bleeding show
I hope you'll never know
how fierce the wolves can grow
don't let the bleeding show
don't dare let it show
till the beast is feasting
One snap and you are theirs
Monsters within us breeding
ready for the unaware...
Assembly
There are pieces of me
strewn on the floor
a puzzle unsolved
left abandoned
perhaps I'm foolish
to think and hope
to pray unto uncaring gods
that I might one day
be assembled
be complete
I once was together
imperfect but unbroken
a vessel ready to hold
the weight of a turbulent world
on ready shoulders
but I was stricken shattered
and smited
fragments of me lost
buried in the cold unfeeling earth
I can only dream
and dare to hope
that some bright angel
might see these parts
and make me whole again
that some one will see with me
some assembly is required
I appreciate any feedback. Be honestly, brutally so.
