With Dagan's hand in hers, Suri led Dagan through the clean living room, into what looked like a kitchen, and finally into Seras's bedroom. It was small and cramped and could only fit a twin bed and a chair without the walls exploding. There was a closed door nearby, which lead to a bathroom (currently useless to everyone but Seras and Nike, who were no longer in the city). This was the extent of Seras's apartment. It was a small and restrictive world, and though she had so many other options in this city, she chose this space. If she was living somewhere in this city, there was nowhere else but this apartment that she'd have rather been. It was something Suri found odd, personally, but never questioned Seras about it.

Suri released Dagan hand and motioned towards the bed.

"Here, uhhh, lay down, I guess?" Suri said with uncertainty, "And, umm, close your eyes and relax. That should probably help." I hope.

She planned on sitting in the chair, maybe pulling it up to the edge of the bed. It would be less awkward that way. If she was sitting or laying in bed with him, that would've just seemed . . . intimate, and this was Seras's bed. That would've just been wrong. It would've also been wrong to do anything with Dagan that seemed even remotely intimate, but that was a different story entirely.

The unintended tour of Sera's apartment didn't mean much of anything to Dagan; all things considered, he was in no position to judge how small Sera's place was, especially since his own living space consisted mostly of just a single room without any furnishings.

"Uh-huh," he nodded his head and laid down on Sera's bed at Suri's request and stared up towards the ceiling, blinking his eyes a few times, and finally then closing them; he took in a few deep breaths and allowed himself to grow as relaxed as possible.

Several long moments passed, as Suri sat down upon the chair and contemplated how to go about this. First, she needed to be closer, so she pulled the chair closer and leaned over Dagan a bit. Then she felt a bit self conscious about being that close, so she leaned back all the way. Then, she wondered if she was still too far, so she sat up half-way and thought it a decent medium.

Would it be best to have her hand on Dagan at the time, maybe? Over his head or over his heart, perhaps? That thought made Suri doubt her recently obtained medium and threw her concentration way off. So she bit her lower lip, shut her eyes, and placed her right hand over Dagan's heart.

I need to think about something, she told herself. I need to think about someone. Dagan, maybe? But I don't know him well. Maybe . . . maybe . . .

Then it struck her: another epiphany. Suri shut her eyes lightly and took in a shallow breath. She pictured the person in her head and smiled sadly.

. . . Seras . . .

And with that, something changed. Not within Suri, but within Dagan. There was a subtle white light in Dagan's mind, even with his eyes shut, and then . . .

[a world of memories]
