So that was really Gaar's name; Vylrath. Regardless of the child's lacking of influence from her father's blood, it was undoubtable that there was a similarity between the two of them. At their core, a spiritual likeness that revealed their bond, just as the link between Kahlan and her children came to my attention when my focus was better developed. Apparently the man had spawned from the copulation of a vile demon and another creature, more likely than not another Mon'Keigh. Knowing his nature granted me a deeper insight into why I had been so opposed to his presence, even if he did not seem to be of kin to the daemons of Chaos who thrived in The Warp. Still he held a few similarities to the Daemonettes She employed. If only in mannerisms.

Willow's appearance had been fortuitous indeed, for in a relatively short span of time I had come to know a great many things that likely would not have been revealed should I have asked to know. Kahlan even took it upon herself to more formally introduce the two girls I already knew from conversational observation, and I knew whatever connection between us that I had struck was gradually regaining its strength. The scarred but enchanting woman even wished to appologize for being upset with my affront to her nature. I did not attempt verbal communication, dismissing her words with a movement of a hand, as if to intone she had nothing to appologize for. If she, a woman that had had a great many years to learn control over her beastial nature found faults in herself when it was revealed, she should understand my own thoughts could be made more brash and aggressive by it.

In that wave my hand had given, my differing nature from those around me would have been further revealed to the now scrutinizing Willow. There was something rather unnvervingly graceful about even so simple an action. It was with a precision and skill very, very few Mon'Keigh could ever hope to emulate. If ever the girl had witnessed elvenkind she would feel they too paled in comparison to my own dexterity. It was merely a part of my blood that would be evident did not my cloak hide it from her eyes. Eldar did not possess the brutal strength of other races, but the difference in our speed, agility and dexterity was oh-so vast.

In all, it was wise I had not choosen to speak any amount of words for likely their progress would have been staunched by the irritable girl. Her first words seemed angry and dismayed, though what followed held a deeper sensation of sadness to it. Until her rage flared when she verbally turned to rally against me. Her misconceptions revealed themselves one after another, believing my lack of even a century's worth of life to be something intolerable when still I was a few times her own age. Not only her mother, with all of her experience, but even the youngest of us here could rid the world of my being. Or so she believed. So foolish and quick to jump to conclusions. "Just like a Mon'Keigh."

Her assault did not stop there, for she went on with the thought that just because she was a woman I should feel so inclined as to leave myself prostrate before her and at her mercy. I guess I had been showing more of my nature by not placing one sex above the other, for mother had taught me much. How the Eldar did not take gender into account for anything, a woman being as skilled at war as a man and a man as powerful as a woman in art. In truth, it was one of the galaxy's only societies in which man and woman stood upon unequivocally equal ground.

Compounding upon that thought was her mention of women of royalty. As if the supposed kings and queens of this world's territorial states should have any importance to one such as I. Young Willow's antics had near been enough to ellicit a smile from me, even if such a gesture would have been lost to their eyes. Even through my natural dislike for her based solely upon her blood found itself waning if only slightly. If nothing else, humanity was a quick means of entertainment.

The first and only words Willow or even Igraine would hear from me would come only after the girl stalked off, broadcasting her thoughts outward in hopes that her Mikael would come running to her aid. I had seen and heard more than enough and before Kahlan could take her chance at a possible reprimand for her delinquent daughter would I say quietly, "By your leave." With such did I turn from the three so that I might, finally, depart from their presence.

Before Titan could leave an odd gust of wind would blow across the persons gathered. It would smell lightly of rancid flesh and pine, like death itself. A soft chuckle, eerie in its own right, filled the immediate area -- as if taking over.

"You could not wait long, love. Shall we go..." Mikhael appeared in front of Willow, slowly assembled into reality not unlike a flickering picture as shadows raced to form his body. He was a lithe man of some indeterminable amount of years and he absolutely reeked of death and destruction. His torso was bare this night, soaking in the cool air and silver beams of the moon. His skin was not pale, as one might assume a demon's skin might be, it was in fact handsomely tanned. Bah, that was a vampire's lot in life. He had blood and could venture willingly into the daylight. In fact, owning a ship of his own (a lowly merchant's vessel to be sure), Mikhael rather enjoyed being in the sunlight.

"Did things go well with your, Mother?" As if suddenly realizing where he was, Mikhael glanced around. He understood that Kahlan was at his back and Titan was some distance away -- though he reeked of a mixture of entities. Titan was dangerous, but Kahlan -- she was lethal. "I see that things may not have gone to plan."

Warily, Mikhael sidestepped Willow and made his position near her but at such an angle as to keep the Angel and mixed blood within his sight. Mikhael was not a hideous creature -- but his tasks in his long life had been horrible. He had not killed anyone since he had met Willow, or anyone for some years before he had met her. His intention was to seek out and find Kahlan when he had kidnapped the woman's daughter. In reality, it hadn't been much of a kidnapping. He couldn't get rid of Willow if he tried. Now he loved her, as only a Demon could love a rash childish woman. Mikhael bowed his head to Kahlan and smiled a handsome smile. His black hair flashing in the eerie silver moonlight -- his eyes an unreadable color in the shadows of the night.

"It is my pleasure to meet such a legend as yourself, Eolair." Mikhael smirked as he looked away from Kahlan to Titan. Titan would not know the name he had called Kahlan because she was obviously hiding her original nature from him. Eolair was a name known by Gods, Angels, and Demons (those that had been born in Hell and some older than 300 years). Kahlan's original name, her original nature, was all but forgotten in the realm of humanity. It was obviously Mikhael's job to remind everyone of just how great an Angel Kahlan had been. Oh, the stories he could tell to the world of how one of Heaven's most precious Angels had fallen!

For now, Mikhael was content to bubble with glee and keep his distance from Kahlan. Titan might pose some threat to him, but he was not nearly as problematic as Kahlan.

---------------------------

Kahlan did not flinch at the smell or taste on the wind. A full demon was often heralded by some sort of chaotic or disgusting sensory detail. She watched the demon touch her daughter and wondered if she was lost to humanity. Kahlan gave the man a dark look and crossed her arms under her chest and listened to his voice. Mikhael was a demon of Shadow and likewise fear. He was old and powerful but nothing to the extent of Vylrath as half demon. Vylrath had been far more powerful and had ended up with the lineage to give him political power within Hell.

When he called her Eolair, then Kahlan flinched. She didn't need Titan knowing her history. It wasn't that splendid and she had worked for centuries to repair herself. It was only the corruption of gods and heaven itself that had kept her from returning to her original position. Kahlan was a source of neutrality that the world needed and the Gods themselves had recognized the need and allowed her to stay between the realm of good and evil. Most attributed it to her extended time in Purgatory before she was dismissed into the service of Hell's leader.

That, however, was another life and another time. Kahlan just smiled, bitterly, at Mikhael and looked over their heads to Titan as he started to walk away. She didn't blame his eagerness to leave.

"As you wish, I don't have much desire to stay myself."

Can’t you make me one of you?

Tears glistened down her flushed cheeks. Her eyes squinted past the flood to see the shape of Mikhael emerging into her world. She needed to be strong, if she was going to confront a demon, with strength ten times the amount in Mikhael.

I can’t possibly kill my innocent sister, but I will kill this Vylrath Xanathi! You have to help me! She came up with a horrible thought: what if he didn’t help her? What if he had a twisted soul like her mother? Willow knew that her mate had never been that way- even for a demon. She watched Mikhael converse with her estranged mother and let the word, “Eolair” slip her mortal mind. The young woman could care less about her mother’s history, but the history with her father hit her to the core.

Sighing, she knew God had truly put her in a soup of madness. It was always changing, the ingredients chaotic and unfamiliar. She was not meant for this world of angels and demons. Mikhael knew that this world was no longer meant for humanity- the chaotic world was finally breaking her. In her crazed mind, she believed Kahlan had wronged her for loving a demonic creature, even though it had never truly been the art of love.

Like a child, she clutched onto his bare chest, remembering that he had a pulse. He wasn’t unkind like her mother, nor was he thoughtless. She began to cut off her telepathy session and spoke instead:

“Make me one of you- there must be a way! Your blood is tainted, isn’t it? What if I drank it…I’m pure human! My blood would churn into something else!” She spat the words out harshly, knowing her mother would hear her insane plea to change her innocent nature.

A child emerged from the voice of a woman. She was not meant for this world, but another. Maybe Mikhael could deliver her to her destiny. Willow only saw her mother as a heartless being, wanting power and influence for herself.

After her rant, she felt a slight emotion of embarrassment, but it didn't last long. Using her mind again, she spoke to Mikhael, uncaring if others heard her previous conversation: We must go…I feel faint. Take me in your arms. You will tell me what can be done.

She felt the pull with Mikhael. She understood what her mother must have felt, unless it was reversed and she had seduced the demon. Willow wouldn't have doubted it. Her eyes never left Mikhael and she let his words pour into her. They weren’t lies, he had only told her truth, but she would be damned if she didn’t sway at the sound of his voice.

(OOC: I really hate this char. I hate her whining.)

If Tanis had been affected at all by the arrival of Mikhael or the revelation of an even older name of Kahlan's would only be known if questioned at a later time. For he was indeed gone, leaving the gathering so that he could find a quiet place on the beach and spend what time there still was enjoying the moon's light. The way he never bothered to look back at the demon man was just a testament to how little he had feared for his life in the group's presence, if ever he did at all.

"Willow, darling. Be calm. I am not a vampire and drinking my blood will only make you vomit." Mikhael wrapped his hands around Willow's tiny hands and gave them a gentle squeeze. He could suck the life right out of her if he wanted to. He could kill her, he could break her thin little neck -- but he'd broken a demonic cardinal rule. He'd fallen in love with the prey.

Mikhael watched Kahlan carefully as he managed Willow's outbursts. He judged her to be the one thing that could kill him. That wasn't a far cry from reality, truely, good versus evil -- everyone was capable of dying in that battle. Mikhael gave Willow a decent shake, one that would rattle her but wouldn't look abusive. It would appear he had the tantrum weilding child well in hand. If not in his bed.

"Willow, get ahold of yourself woman. It is indecent when your baby sister is more composed than you are." With one of his hands, keeping both of Willow's pinned against his chest with the other, Mikhael swept his fingers through his long blue black hair. He was handsome, that he knew, it was a calling of his nature in a way. Humans had come to think that demons were horribly disfigured creatures -- much to their own detriment. A chuckle escaped Mikhael as he looked down at Willow. Humans were such fickle creatures.

"What will get you to calm down?" He was not sinking to her level, but he wanted her episode to stop so that he could focus on his surroundings. It was dangerous here. The island dampened some of his resolve and he could easily hurt any human he desired. He just hoped that he would get off the island before Willow got hurt.

Mikhael glanced up at the stairs leading to Kahlan's room and realized both woman and child were gone. They had left the pair of lovers alone for their battle of wills. Mikhael knew he certainly wasn't going to go chase the Angel woman down and question her. If the legends were right, her mood was fantastic and erratic.

She gained "some" control of herself, while still weeping into his chest. He should be drenched in her tears by now. Willow looked at him with a calm expression. "It was silly to think I could become your kind, but how can I kill a demon? He could easily flay my skin in seconds!"

Her mother had nearly been forgotten, since the arrival of Mikhael.

"Help me kill him...you must see what he has done! If you don't help me, I'll do it on my own, and you'll regret it!" She threatened him, childishly and regretting it whole-heartedly. She knew she was tearing the man apart. How could he go against his own kind? Maybe demons didn't have that type of loyalty anyway.

"We must find a blade...you must know of some type of weapon that could aid me!" During her madness, she flirted with Mikhael, allowing him to see past the cloth. "I will need to change my clothes if we are going to travel again." Father, I will avenge you...even if I have to die! The private thought would not be heard by MIkhael, or any other wanderng soul that night. Sometimes, princesses needed their privacy.

"Unless you can suggest something else, I don't see how I can satisfy my desires." She poked his bare chest, noticing the beauty of his skin. Why was a being so gorgeous, with the likes of her? In comparison, she possessed no beauty like her mother.

Her heart was set on killing the man- someone she had never even known. For all she knew, Vylrath was completely innocent. It would be strange for a demon to be innocent in his nature. She looked deep in thought, until she spoke:

"Let's leave this place. I will never speak with my mother again....not even on my deathbed!" She motioned for him to pick her up. She still begged for his attention. It was the first time that Mikhael was the one actually in control of her situations.
