Sebilla glanced between Trydian and her grandmother and quickly took her brother by the hand.

"We're going to explore a bit."

"Don't go too far. We don't need you two disappearing." Isabella still had her sights on Trydian but she turned when Caela entered the clearing. They spoke quietly between themselves for a moment before Isabella glanced back at the twins and nodded. "Your mother says its safe. You can go."

Sebilla tugged on Trydian's hand. Did the boy have a death wish? Grandmother would lay into him for causing such a scene if he didn't let her cool off first.

"Lets go to the lake!" She was mildly surprised at the young enthusiasm in her voice. Sebilla Xanathi-Rivenfelde was the quiet and reserved twin, usually not given to random spurts of excitement. She was also the twin with the ability to foresee things, and to clarify the past. She was a bridge between worlds and time, and that often weighed heavily on her young soul. It also weighed on her that she had never met her father, and that her mother rarely spoke of him, though she never spoke ill of him. All that she knew was that her mother had cared for him and that he had been a hero of this land once.

She skipped to the edge of the lake, some distance from where Vylrath and Barclay were discussing things. A stand of trees broke up the beach so that they could not be seen by their family.

"This place is beautiful." Sebilla spoke as she walked straight to the edge of the water. She was a humble young woman, wearing a simple pair of tan pants and a white shirt tucked into her pants. Her purple black hair was pulled back into a well kept bun without a hair out of place. Her skin was smooth and soft, the color of white sand that had been doused in water. Her lips were full and her youth was evident. Then again, she was older than their mother when she had had them. She was, as it were, only now coming into her own curves. She would be, without a doubt, a strikingly beautiful human woman.

"What I wouldn't give for a bath." Sebilla looked at the lake longingly, wondering if she could get away with taking a bath in the shallows. It wasn't as if her brother hadn't seen her naked half her life anyway. The thought was lost however, when she saw something sparkling a few feet out in the water, just where the water seemed to get much deeper.

"Hey, what is that?" Sebilla pointed at the glinting object, hoping to catch her brother's attention.

Trydian's nearly broken body fought him at first, as Sebilla practically drug him away. His left arm was broken, of this much he was sure, but he kept it a secret from his family as he stumbled along with Sebilla. Whereas he normally had to hang back to make sure she was getting along well enough, as she was slower than the others, he was actually glad to be taking it slow. He ached, and bled, and the fragmented bones in his arm screamed at him, but he kept up a grin as they shuffled along.

Water, in Xexoria. And it was not just an illusion, or the after-effects of a crazed ice-wielding monarch, sporting a stick up her ass, or an illusion even, it was all real. He marveled at the refreshing waters, before his gaze fell back to Sebilla, who was pointing. She really was a beautiful young thing, compared to Trydian's relative roguishness, though he was not a terrible-looking young lad, either. In a normal, or rather, different word...they could have been a couple. With her love for him, and his protectiveness of her, they resembled a young couple to some, even. His eyes fell down her face, neck, and along the perfect skin on her delicate arm as he caught sight of what she had spotted. It was a glittering thing, slightly out of place. It reminded him somewhat of the secret he now kept hidden from the others, the magical thing tucked safely into his clothing.

Trydian kicked off his boots and socks, and the light cloak he wore, unknowingly revealing the two weapons he now kept in his belt. Trydian bound into the water, feeling better the instant he touched the cool waters, though still with the nagging sensation that his arm was shattered into a million pieces from flying through Barclay's tent.

"Trydian!" Sebilla rolled up her pants, kicked off her shoes, and waded into the water a little way. "You're hurt. Come here."

She didn't wait for him to get closer, she just grabbed at him and pulled his heavy body close to her. It was like they were lovers in a way. They had shared everything from a womb to a bed for their entire lives up to a certain time. It was still hard for Sebilla, at sixteen, to get to sleep without hearing her brother's racuous snoring nearby.

Sebilla looked down at Trydian and shook her head. Would he ever get over himself? Just because his grandfather was also his father didn't mean he had to act like an idiot. She smiled as she looked at his hurt arm. With him suspended in the water it was easier on her body to move him around, and it would be easier to do what she had to now. Reset his arm. Otherwise his quick healing wouldn't heal over properly and...well...it would suck to be lame at such a young age.

"Okay this is going to hurt, but I can't really do anything about that. Trust me?" Sebilla straddled her brother as she spoke, pushing him into the shallows so that she could plant one foot on his chest without drowning him in the process. She was much smaller than he was, slighter, and far less strong. She was a human, but she could do simple things like reset bones. Distantly she mused at how long she might actually stay a human with their grandfather out to change the world.

"Take a deep breath." She said as she planted one foot, leaning her weight on her brother's chest. She bent over and picked up his arm and pressed the fingers over her heart, a simple gesture that she had used since birth. She trusted him completely to protect her. Even today he had protected her and taken all of the hurt for himself. Sometimes she envied him the ability to be wild and free, but she didn't envy the hurt in his eyes. Without warning she gave a savage tug on his arm, pulling the big bones back into place with a sickening snap. They would have to ask Grandmother or Grandfather whether or not the small bones would follow suit. She didn't know enough about medicine yet to operate or anything.

"I'm sorry..." There were a few tears in her eyes, but she had many strong women to learn from and so they didn't spill over. However, she truely hated hurting her big brother. Even if he was only five minutes older than her.

Trydian shifted hopelessly between staring at the beautiful young girl dashing barefoot toward him on one side, and the glimmering object in the water on his other. He couldn't afford to show fear of such a simple thing as this. He put on a brave face, though nervousness was painfully visible in his eyes. He allowed her to lean him back, and get into a favorable position to do the job that needed doing. As she pushed against him with her foot and pulled with all her strength, he allowed his head to sink back into the water, to muffle the sounds escaping his throat. It was a miserable hurt, even more now than before. Trydian found it hard to be excited about much, but after a few seconds that seemed like hours, he allowed his head to part the water with a smile lingering on his lips.

" Thank you Sebilla. I guess it was my own fault and...you aren't hurt, are you? We didn't really have time to dust ourselves off in the chaos. " He scanned up and down, examining his sister once before he stood himself up, looking around for the shimmering, shining thing to reset his focus on. The spot where he had laid in the water was a dingy blur, as the sand and dirt coming off him ruined some of it's beauty. Sebilla seemed simple and clean as always, except for the marks on her bottom from where she had skidded to a stop. She was wet up to her knees, and her arms were soaked from dousing Trydian in the water. Without warning, Trydian ducked into the water, and created a wall with his arms. He thrust a wave of water on to his sister and took off into the deeper water as fast as he could maneuver.

Sebilla let out a small shriek as the wall of water soaked her completely. Her well groomed hair, her well kept clothes, were all drenched in the bright cold water of the crater that was Rivenfelde. Without thinking she lunged for her brother as he nimbly maneuvered out of her grasp. She staggered around for a moment before finally deciding that her now drenched clothing was a hinderance to her ability to choke her brother to death. Without hesitation she pulled both shirt and pants off, wearing only her underwear -- much like a bikini. She reached up and let down her mostly drenched raven black hair and tossed all of the offending cold cloth onto the beach behind her.

"You rascal!" Sebilla was a nimble girl, perfect in many ways because of her mother and her father -- not to mention her family heritage. She dove under the crystal clear water and swam like a fish toward her brother. She might be human, and she might be mortal, but she was extremely flexible and had a great love of water. She had since she was a little child. When she broke the surface she noticed she was nearer the shiny object in the water. Sebilla could barely reach the bottom of the lake with her feet and she turned back toward Trydian -- in the first shock of cold and thrill of entering the water she'd completely overshot him.

"Hey, there is something over here." Any answer that Trydian might give would be met with Sebilla's legs in the air as she tried to inspect what was going on. She realized very quickly that there was a unfathomable chasm that dropped sharply away from the edge where they were. No doubt the crater created by the Yuurei's ascension. She broke the surface again and frowned.

"I can't see anything really. I need your eyes, Trydian." Being human, Sebilla only had the eyes of a human. Trydian's were far more capable of spying detail. "What is that down there? And be careful, its right on the edge of the true crater."
