The crazies (Open)

It was a horrifying thing to be born into that family; a family were..they didnt want you, they didnt want you because you are different..the moment you broke from the womb..all the pain you had caused was just too much for them to bare. They tried so hard though, for those few years..but nothing ever seemed to work. That family just couldnt handle you anymore could they? but how can you blame..look at you, your different arent you? Though..you may look normal on the outside, your not normal..not to them. Strange, hiddious..and frightening...they were never able to understand..

So they sent you here..to be with me.

No more tears now, dont be sad anymore.. their all gone now, far, far away..they cant hurt you anymore. Its time to be happy, its time to be free..your free with me..

Cant you feel it?

Touch me, you'll see...Delilah..touch me.

Slender hands shook in midair as she stretched her arms out toward the rock; skin sat snuggly against her bone..barely any muscles, fat..almost nonexistent as she starved day to day now. Once delicate soft fingers..now rough and cracked caressed slowly over the rock.

Yeeesss...Delilah. Touch me.

Whispers..whispers..they were always whispering to her, so sweetly most times..sometimes they were angry, not at her though..they were never angry at her.

Hazel hues looked longingly at the rock as she ran her hands over it..over and over again, but the rock remained cold to her..cold and hard, it made her sad.

Dont be sad Delilah..just touch.

And she did..with the utter most passion and fascination over the rock she touched it..smearing the mud over its smooth surface, it started to rain again.

More rain..with that rain, it would go cold again..and Delilah would shiver but her focus was on that rock..not on the rain, not on the cold.

"I am here.." she whispered to it, gently lovingly..desperate for something that she didnt even know for. " I am touching.."

Touch me Delilah..touch me, touch me, touch me!

It repeated, over and over again in her head..its voice growing louder fiercer till it drove her beyond the little bit of sanity she had..if you could even call it sanity. She dug her fingers into the mud and lifted the large rock from the dirt and in a fit of furious anger she threw it as hard as she could..which only sent it just a few feet away from her.

" I am!!!" she screamed, tears rolling down her dirty face. "I am!!! I am!!!" she threw her hands onto the top of her head and grabbed her hair in the fit of rage.

"Stop talking, stop it!! go away!!" her screams echoed into the rain, into silence and she fell to her knees in the mud..rocking.

"Oh I'm sorry..sorry.." she crawled hurriedly to the rock and grasped it into her arms pulling it to her chest "Forgive me..please, please forgive me. I am here...now..I am here.."

"With you.."

With me...it whispered and she rocked it like a baby humming softly.

There were those who were fortunate enough to be housed outside, in the mud, with the tender-loving rocks. Not everyone was that lucky. The mentally insane were not all kept in the same place. The extra dangerous ones required a special touch. There was a certain elegance, a certain flair that it took to be able to handle these sorts. It took a certain level of evil to deal with creatures of this caliber.

In the cell block for certain serial killers-the ones who were still dangerous-the criminals were chained to the walls. Iron kept most of them in place, but some required an even more special touch. Some of the criminals had "special" talents, which meant their chains had to be gifted with special blessing, able to hold back little intricacies that would otherwise prove disastrous. A prison break in this sector could mean the equivalent of Hell-or the closest thing this world had to it-erupting.

In one such cell sat a man with blond hair that was caked in dried blood and dirt. His eyes sagged closed, as if he was poisoned by an eternal lethargy; rotting a cell such as this for a few years could do that to even the most feisty of individuals. The wrappings that covered him looked somewhat equivalent to those that would encase a mummy, particularly around the parts where flesh would meet metal. Although it seemed that special care was taken to ensure a level of comfort, as the garments seemed soft and concealing, they were filthy and covered with everything from dust to excrement.

Even more peculiarly out of place in such a prison were the chains that held the man. They were a bright shinning silver color, and covered with intricate graffiti. At first glance one would've thought they be better decorating some sort of mansion. Even more astounding was the radiance with which the chains shone in the dull light of the prison.

The man hung by these chains in a crucifix like position, hovering above the ground, unable to move much of anything: not even his mouth. A similar chain and silver plate covered the man's mouth, binding it closed.

A bang on the sterling silver bars outside his cell made him raise one of his sky blue eyes and peer out at the guard, even though he didn't need to; he knew what time it was: feeding time. It was the only time anyone ever bothered with him. Despite the pleasantries, he rather enjoyed it. Solitude was the worst torture of all: worse than any beating could ever be. When he saw the guard hold up the plate of food with one hand and the syringe with one hand, he felt the need to smile, and oh he would have, if not for the alloy that covered nearly half of his face.

A bell in the distance chimed its echoing tone through the storm signifying their usual feeding time. The rock in her hands fell silent in her mind, the rain tickling her skin and chilling her to the bone. Slowly she stood with the rock in her arms and started to walk across the yard towards the large massive building that housed many others like her.

She wasn’t always like them though, she didn’t come here insane..but being here had made her insane, this place had broken her and warped the person she was.

However, she was less of a worry..she was in fact one of the more harmless inhabitants of the prison. So like a few of the other ghostly beings that wandered the halls, she was also free to wander and nearly fend for herself.

There was no doubt that they simply waited for her to die off..one less person to feed.

She entered the prison that for several years had become her home, walking along the dark dank moldy halls..shadows lingered at every corner and every door and cell. Death stained the walls, urine seeped through the ground with its horrible smell. Light screams teased the darkness from broken minds; but it all seemed like a blur her as she and her rock traveled through the many halls.

She wasn’t very afraid of the sounds anymore, of the people here..such horrible people, but they weren’t so frightening.

A few guards would pass her by and not even glance her way as she walked closely to the walls, practically covered by the shadows..a few candles stuck out from the walls barely enough to show any light at all.

The voice stirred once more as she rounded one of the corners that lead down a set of stairs. Why are you going this way.. it asked her, however she did not respond with a verbal answer..just a small shrug of her shoulders. You know what they keep down here….creatures of your own worst nightmares. She hugged the rock to her chest as she took one step at a time. “Afraid?” she asked it as she softly stroked its side. “You shouldn’t be afraid, your just a rock after all.”

The corner of her mouth twisted into something similar to a smile. Why was she coming down this far? To the more dangerous levels..no reason really, she was just wandering and there was no reason for her to turn back either.

Your not afraid of them? Your nightmares..its dangerous down here.

She comforted the rock as it spoke its worries to her, but she seemed unfazed by the possible danger. “But I…” her voice dropped to a soft whisper. “….am dangerous.”

For a moment she stopped at the bottom of the steps, the stone cold under her feet..but not as cold as what she already was. Nearly shivering from being outside and the lack of fat on her body, she couldn’t control the spasms that traveled through her.

Down the hall there was a guard preparing to feed one of the prisoners. She stood watching as the man held up the plate of food before she took a quiet step down and walked along the cells the lined the walls so often..she didn’t wander to close to the guard however, but if he were to turn around or take notice..that is, if he wanted to see her he could.

The guard opened the cell door and strode through the threshold. He placed the plate down on the floor, before walking up to the blond man and gripping his head forcefully and forcing it backwards against the wall so that he could not move it. When he felt like he had control-the guard lifted the syringe and moved the needle towards the man's temple; with one quick jab, it was inside the man's head. The blue eyed prisoner thrashed around, trying to get free. Still in control, the guard pushed the hammer of the syringe about a quarter of the way, and within seconds the man stopped fighting.

His entire body went limp; even his eyes fell to the floor, as heavy lids sagged over them. The guard loosened the muzzle that bound his jaw closed, and let it fall limp: hanging from one side of his face. Snickering now-the first time the serious contemplative look had left his face-the guard began to take his fists and pound the hell out of the inebriated man. Due to his incapacitated state, the prisoner could offer little more, than what sounded like, hiccups every time he was struck.

When he had had his fun the guard squeezed the hammer on the syringe a bit more, forcing more sedative directly into the man's brain, before moving for the plate of food. He was in the process of roughly feeding the prisoner when the scrawny female emerged behind him. The guard was too enthralled in his chore to turn around and notice the woman; however her presence was not lost on the prisoner. Even in his incapacitated state he could feel her presence, could sense the discord of her mind.

With all of his might, with every ounce of adrenaline and will he could muster, he rose his eyes from the ground and locked stares with the woman. In that instant it would feel as if her mind were on fire, as if someone were screaming bloody murder in her mind, and then in the next instant everything would seem to freeze still; the world would turn a painfully bright white; lastly, the guard would be gone.

Only the female, the blond haired man (and quite possibly the perceived image of the rock's personality) would be present. In this vision the blond man was naked and crucified upon a crumbling black cross. His pupils were gone and his eyes glowed a terrible bloody crimson color. His face appeared twisted and wicked. The black cross upon which he was held would be the only source of darkness, the only freedom from the terrible whiteness. The man locked stares with her again in this world, as well.

"Help me! Free me from this hell! Liberate me from their poisonous silver, or I'll haunt your thoughts eternally and kill you every night while you sleep, in your dreams."

A wave of darkness fell away from the man, and the syringe in his head was now visible in this perception as well. Should the woman attempt to move farther away from the prisoner, she would find the brightness unbearable. Should she move towards him, she would find herself fading more and more back into the reality she had left behind.

It was a disheartening sight to watch, as the man was given such poor treatment. However she just stood by with her rock in her arms; that is until something very strange and even a tad painful happened. She felt swept away, her heart fluttered rapidly as she found she no longer felt the weight of the rock in her arms. She felt completely over whelmed and grabbed at her head as though all the voices she ever heard combined into one and started to scream in her mind.

But in that same instant it was all gone, everything in fact.. And it was very strange feeling. She opened her eyes and stared at the man positioned as though he was on a black cross. He spoke to her, asking for help and then…. Threatening her.

Off to the corner the rock, who was now in the form of a small boy stood in the lighter part of the perception unbothered by the bright white. His mouth twisted mischievously at the mans words, though he opened his mouth to speak he found he had no words to say.

Delilah started to walk closer to him perhaps just to save her eyes, or just perhaps she wanted to walk closer. “You stand before me and threaten me?” A few feet away from him she stopped, her eyes still locked on his. She laughed waving her hand in the air.. She enjoyed this perception, this man who thinks he could truly frighten her.

“Do you not see were we stay? Obviously you’re a little confused because I already have threatening and otherwise voices in my mind.. Do you think one more would really make a difference? Would truly make me want to free… no I think it would just drive me to kill myself.” She found, she didn’t feel so broken in this perception.. That her mind was able to comprehend things… or created personality however seemed rather pissed he couldn’t speak.

“You’ll have to do better than threaten me… to free you.” Her head tipped to the side as she considered him. “I will free you.. On the condition you take me with you.”

Then she stepped back a few steps. “That’s the only way.”

She didn’t want to leave the perception, but she knew it wasn’t real… though not like she wanted to return to her reality, but with the option of freedom.. She’d make the exception.

The blond man was loosely held in reality. In the dismal world of the physical: he was being force fed his one meal of the day by the rather sadistic guard. Behind the guard, the woman looked forward with her eyes wide opened, seeing nothing at all. She had a dazed expression on her face, and she seemed to slowly be stumbling closer. If the sedative was not keeping him from moving, he would've grinned.

In the other world, she seemed to be a bit less than cooperative. His threats seemed to ring on dead ears. Delilah clearly did not appreciate what a threat was from a real person. She had been lost in her own little world for far too long. Good help was so hard to find sometimes! The prisoner was not much for diplomacy; being a blood-thirsty mass murderer did not require such a trade. Thus, his response to her would not be pleasant.

"Oh, but my threats can become so much more real than anything you have ever experienced. I am not a separate mind in your head. I am a whole nothing entity all together. You'll find my tortures more enduring and creative than what you're used to."

As if on cue, black mist began to appear below the woman's feet. Quickly sweeping by her and covering her and encasing her ankles-which would have no physical effects. Tentacles made of the black mist would began to reach over her shoulders and around her head; while a terrible hissing sound would make it self apparent.

"In this world, there are no solid objects except those that touch my skin. Killing yourself will not be an option. This is my world, how would you like to remain in it for eternity? Free me, or that will be your fate!"

Her retort seemed to absurd to the man. Take her with him? It was a question that he was completely unprepared for, and thus he did the only thing he could in these situations: let out a terrible echoing laughter. As his voice breached through the halls of the dream world, the very air and walls would ripple and rupture. The black mist would vanish entirely and with no trace left. A moment later he stopped cackling with one last amused snort.

"Take you with me? Where are we going?" he asked, in a very amused tone.

The child would laugh, but silently as her grasped at his stomach from the hilarity of it all. Her head would tip to the side curiously as she regarded the man intently. However she listened to his words lightly her eyes fell to the blackness that started at her feet and then over her shoulders and around her head. The hissing made her twitch visibly with a slight thinning of her lip, but it would only last for a few seconds as her lips turned into a wickedly sweet grin; her head would give a second twitch to the other side and once more her eyes would fall onto him.

Try it.” Her eyes would widen with the insanity in her mind, as desire started to rise with interest in him. The depths of her eyes would sparkle as her grin started to grow and light up the once beautiful features of her face. Free him.. he ordered. It amused her beyond belief and she clapped her hands together, the boy settled and stared at her curiously.

“You are brilliant.” She teased licking her lips with the tip of her tongue. “Free you, or you’ll haunt my mind! “ laughter played past her lips as her hands settled at her waist in an almost scolding manner. A brow would raise at his amused tone and laughter at her request..

The corner of her mouth twitched and she gave a shrug of her shoulders “Well.. obviously nowhere with the way you’re taking things. Really, you aren’t being very rational. I am standing here, behind the guard.. outside of this little.. vision you made, with a rather large rock in my hands.”

She hmmed lightly for a moment as she contemplated the sentence she just spoke. “So let me get this straightened out for you.” A dramatic pause as amusement played across her features.

“If I don’t free you, you will remain chained to the wall being hand fed by a guard who’s possibly doing who knows what to you while your sedated. Which seems to happen every evening.” She cutely bit her lower lip as she flashed her eyelashes sweetly in his direction. “Personally you can torment my mind all you want, it’ll give me someone else to scream at.”

Now she would become more serious about the situation. “However, as I said if I free you. I go with you, where ever it is your going. Away from here.. then I will guarantee your freedom..” she gave a small shrug of her shoulders. “But.. if you won’t agree, you can go on and torment my already tormented mind until we both wither away in this shit hole.”

“So one more time..do we have an agreement or not? “ she was a stubborn little thing, maybe that’s one of the reasons why she survived so long here.

Delilah was certainly stubborn. Most people were so easy to break, but not her; her insanity had made her fearless. Perhaps that was why she was one of the few people to wander down here. The prisoner wondered why she had remained so comatose that she was allowed to walk free, if she was so willing to do "bad things" now; maybe he just had that kind of charming effect on people. He giggled at the thought. Oh, if he brought out her bad side, they were going to have so much fun together. At that point he decided it would be enjoyable to have her along; especially if she got more and more forceful and cruel as time went on. Oh it was going to be so much fun! The blond haired man could hardly wait.

He turned his gaze from the floor back to Delilah and began giggling. Then he pursed his lips and bit his tongue as if he were trying to suppress some amusing little secret. The man leaned forwards on his cross and moved his head toward the woman as one might do if they were telling a secret-except that he was not particularly close to her, so he was still quite a ways from her ear.

Very giddy-he began to speak, "Okay, you can come! I'm going... Crazy!" At this point he began to giggling like a mad man. When the episode concluded a big smile was spread across his face. "My nickname is Exodus! So let's do this thing partner," he whispered, concluding with another fit of giggles.

"I can't let you out of this perspective while I'm sedated; even if I could, I wouldn't, because this next part wouldn't be nearly as much fun otherwise!"

The prisoner would focus his gaze on the woman, and the world around them would ripple and distort. The brightness would intensify to the point of obnoxiousness, and then would blind the two of them momentarily. When it receded, the skeletal outline of a man-that would appear to be made of shadows-would be standing in front of Exodus, moving his hand close to the man's mouth and then away again.

"That shadow is the guard! The rock is still in your hand, although you can't see or feel it. It won't show up in this world because it doesn't have a consciousness. You'll just have to pretend its there when you hit him. Afterward, just yank out the syringe. I'll be sure to take care of everything from that point."

As he said this, a glowing golden aura encased the syringe that protruded from his head, and a fluorescent rainbow arrow appeared just below it and moved in a bobbing motion, indicating the position of the instrument.

"Just be careful not to touch my flesh when you do. A... bad thing happened to the last person who did," he whispered, before exploding into another raging fit of giggles.

...I'm going crazy!

“That’s an understatement.” Her nose twisted as the subconscious manifestation of the child within this illusion faded away as the blinding light exploded around them. When it did fade the child would gone and the outline of the guard would be in front of her, obviously he hadn’t seen her standing there yet. The corner of her mouth twisted up in a smirk, she’d kill for freedom.. that’s what she wanted the most. She wanted out of this shit hole..

But with this man, this insanely evil man.. things would be all the more exciting, she’d be able to wreck havoc and revenge for being locked away here. The rock in her hands would now symbolizing the begging, the begging of everyone else’s suffering.

His giggles would engulf her as it came down to this very point, as it all came down on her. Though in this illusion she couldn’t feel the rock in her hands, she knew it was there.. her consciousness could feel the weight, that little annoying voice in her head coming from the rock.. though it was dull, it was still there. As if the voice was the voice of reason.. the voice was cause of most her insanity..

Funny how he didn’t want her to kill the guard.

She would raise arms up, one step.. two steps closer, the rock hung above her head.. she was barely able to hold the weight of the rock due to her body being malnourished. But she managed..

One hard swing as the weight of the rock came smashing down over the guards skull, a loud crack echoed down the hall of cells.. settling into a sickening silence as the guards body now laid on the ground with blood spilling out onto the floor. The rock slipped from her moist blood covered fingers, smacking the guard for a final end as she stepped over the body reaching her hand up and grasping the syringe that was shoved into the mans skin.

She also heeded his words about not touching his flesh, though she stood extremely close to him, so close she could feel his breath.. smell his stank and feel the warmth of his body. It was almost arousing, exciting. “ I am Delilah, Exodus.” Then with one delicate little yank of her fingers she removed the syringe from his skin.

"Delilah eh? What a charming name," he murmured, the second before the syringe was ripped from his flesh.

As the needle left his head, he let out a scream of terrible agony, and then began to twitch uncontrollably. The syringe would fade from Delilah's perception, leaving her hands "empty". Giving the woman a few seconds to move back,-and out of the way-he would then throw his body from the jet-black cross onto the ground in front of him, as it crumbled behind him and vanished into nothingness. The blond man began to flop around on the ground and enter into a state of spasms, much like a fish out of water, until a few moments later: when he would be still. He would remain still for literally minutes; he was pale, and his eyes had rolled back into his head. Then, all at once, he would spring to his feet and scream once more, while rubbing his temples.

"Do you have any idea how much that hurts? Say, do I get a lollipop or something?" he whispered, before giggling again.

The lunatic walked over to the body of the dead guard and knelt beside it.

"And now, the fun begins! There's only one problem. It's a lot easier to get out of this world than it is to get in. You'll need an exit. Guess what else! This one is mine!" he said, before giggling like a madman again, and putting his finger on the guard's shadowy body.

As Exodus' flesh touched that of the guard's, the madman's body suddenly disappeared, as the shadows lifted from the dead guard's body. The bloody broken form of the orderly lay on the ground, motionless at first, but seconds later, it began to stir. It pushed itself off the ground, and then turned to face Delilah.

"You...you killed me? You murdered me! You condemned me to this repugnant form, to this Hell!" the zombie-like figure screamed at Delilah, as it began to move forwards.

If the woman looked close enough, she would be able to see a black outline manifest on the wall where Exodus had once been hanging.

Meanwhile, in the real world, Exodus awoke from the sedative. The guard lay dead on the ground in front of him; the rock lay in the remains of his brain. Delilah stood stupefied, still trapped in his dream world; the syringe still clutched in her hand. The crazy man still hung on the wall, in the same shape that he had been in at the start of this day-and every other-except that the sterling silver muzzle was not over his mouth.

The evil man's mouth stretched into a wicked grin as he began to suck in as much air as possible, and then the moment he had been waiting for, for what seemed like an eternity. Exodus began to scream in the most high-pitched glass shattering voice he could muster. A purple aura began to exude from his body, as he continued screaming, until it came to surround him in a dome shaped scarlet aura. The maniac would continue howling, as the dome solidified around him and began to shake violently. Cracks slowly began to appear in the silver, and eventually the metal would come to shatter, as the rags that had clothed the man burned away.

The lunatic dropped to his knees as the wall released its imprisoning hold. Eagerly, the man slapped away the last vestiges of his bondage and then rose to his feet; he was free once more.

Giggling to himself-the man began to rub his hands together menacingly. He assumed a "sneaky" pose on his tip-toes and then began to dart from the cell, laughing all the way. Although Delilah could not see Exodus' body as before, she could still see the shadowy outline of the man-as she would be able to do with any living thing-and would be able to watch his movements, as well as hearing echoes of his voice and thoughts.

Delilah would step back a few paces to watch the spectacle take place. Dimly aware of the fact that she was still holding the syringe outside of this illusion. The corner of her mouth twitched upward in a slight irritation, he was just a tad bit of an annoying man.. he figured, he will be able to light her fuse on more than one occasion..

Like now.

Her eyes would go wide and she shifted as if she was going to do something, but the man vanished. “Oh you jerk!” she shouted, stomping her feet childishly. Not only that, but now she was stuck here.. with the guard.

Her head snapped to the side as she stared at him, her eye twitching as he went on about how she killed him. “Oh shut up.” She held her hand up to his face as he approached her, realizing she still had her fist clenched.. the syringe! She must still have it!

From the corner of her eyes she caught Exodus’s movements..she snorted. “Ladies first you know. Exodus!!” She turned on her heel and started to follow his outline as best she could. “How about I go stab one of your friends with this syringe eh? Bring you a little company to this hell..” she smirked deviously at the thought.. how amusing it would be, for two souls.. to be trapped here forever, with each other!

She started to laugh at that, and decided that it would be more fun in fact to bring someone of a more insane nature here.. to drive the guard mad in his death.

It took her but a few mere seconds to find a poor victim as she slammed the syringe unforgiving into the arm of another man, who had wandered his way down the halls of cells.. much like she had.

It was too obvious the means of which she needed to require an exit.. a person, and she waited as she watched that shadowy form fall to the round and simply did what Exodus had done. “Goodbye.” She would say to the guard as she laid her hand upon the head of the man she just sedated.. and hoped he would be horrible company for the guard as she disappeared.

She stumbled forward, that’s what it felt like.. her head spun and the rock, started to talk to her again. Scolding her about murdering the guard and another of the prison. She hissed rubbing her forehead weakly.. she did not realize how weak she felt until she returned to this place.. she needed food, a bath and some new clothes.

“Exodus!!!” she shouted, not exactly sure where the man had ventured off too.

She silenced the rock, and spitefully told it to choose another form which she could so simply drag around then a stupid heavy, awkward rock.

Hmm..this place seems as good as any for my plans. Let's see what amusement is to be found...

The cold, stagnant air of the cell grew heavy, the moisture seeming to be drawn out of the air. It was a strange and vastly misperceived concept, the forcing of a physical form onto a multi-dimensional entity, but one he knew very well. There was no time in which he did not exist; it was simply a matter of choosing a place and imposing his will to 'be' in that place. The fabric of reality seemed to bend, twist and contort as he made his way into this existence, static electricity forking from his point of origin. He seems to step out of nothingness into being with such abruptness, such ease that it would be terrifying to witness. He cut an unimposing figure, despite his 6'2" height and the lithe, toned set of his muscles. Perhaps it was the impeccably tailored obsidian silk suit that covered his flawless, nearly porcelain white skin, maybe it was the widebrimmed undertaker-style hat propped slightly askew upon his nest of jet black hair, or even the sapphire orbs that glittered with such intellegence and mad glee. Most disarming of all was the crooked half-smile on his face, like someone who knew a great and terrible secret and couldn't wait to share it. He stretched, his white gloved hands reaching for the sky and seemed not to notice the lightning bolts that struck and charred the ceiling of the cell nor the peal of thunder that followed them. He looked around with those cold eyes, perceiving things in ways even the mad or brilliant couldn't fathom, the overlapping layers that composed this reality, the smearing of its edges by two very distinct, very different forces.

How interesting...these beings here have more potential than I thought. Oh, the games we can play...

His coming was always an omen of dark times, cruel, evil, malicious events. He'd been known by a thousand names through time and spaces, across planes of existence never dreamed. He had witnessed things in universes so small and fast they could hardly be said to have happen and others so shattering, the psyches of beings everywhere had felt them even if they did not comprehend why. He had been called Nyarlahotep, Legion, Belial, Kthululu, and many more infamous names. He was more than a man but he laughed at being called a God. He followed the two, not requiring the aid of the syringe since he himself was a prisoner of no realm, free to travel dimensions and planes as he was to take a step. As he had come into the cell, so he would step into existence behind the woman, eyeing her with curious intensity. The reading of someone's mind was child's play to him, but he was not one for such games. More interesting not to know, to allow himself to occasionally be surprised by the element of chaos that he loved. He couldn' resist, however, a fleeting surface brush of her mind. He felt there a maelstrom, a swirling monster barely contained, but contained by a sharp, cunning intellect he could admire. He spoke then, his lips not moving, his voice sounding like a chorus of calming, soothing vociferations in the mind, extending even unto the audible.

"Quite the escape, my dear...I applaud you. I am called by many names, but you may call me Dr. Jekyll. And who might YOU be?"

The word 'YOU' would reverberate through her mind, addressing not just her but the entity that seemed to cling to her. It amused him, this being that was there and not there, a true anomaly of perception. He knew this being would be aware of his presence. How would it respond? Through her? Of it's own volition? The possibilites were endless and each one was something to be savored. Chaos was, after all, his favorite game. He was almost giddy with it though it barely showed. What new games could this being introduce? What fun could be had?

Twitch twitch twitch, that what it always felt like, her skin as it crawled in every aspect. It was as though her senses over whelmed her and yet it did not trouble her, just annoyed her. The rock, the other entity that she has yet to name, though it very well does have a name was silent. The visage in which the voice emitted from remained in the place she dropped it, since she had grown tired of carrying the rock. Though that person as it were, still followed her, clung to her, perhaps it was more than just a figment of her imagination. That person or more so the child was still at the presence of the other, maybe it was fear that gripped it. Maybe.. perhaps it could sense the power that being held, and in turn would hold his tongue of any comment. It could even be because it felt that intrusion on her mind, as it went unnoticed to her. The being a part of her felt it, and maybe that little show sent it to silence. “An encore perhaps?”

She would not turn around to face this man, creature or whatever he was, she honestly wasn’t in the mood for games. The man before her had already pushed her buttons to the extent of irritation. Though it may just be because his level of intelligence was lacking, who’s to say this man wouldn’t be different? At least he had the manner to keep himself composed. The corner of her mount would twitch, lips dry and cracked were sore. She hated it, truly, she hated the condition in which her body was. In her days before this place she never felt like this, she was always clean, clothed and fed. Her hair brushed out daily and tied with pretty ribbons, beautiful strands of golden waves, now it was dull and knotted. She had no shape to her, as thin as a string like a starving little boy.

Her tongue would dart out, failing to moisten dry lips, momentarily forgetting what her name was. Her thoughts were always fleeting, besides the ones her mind made up while she sat in those dark corners. “Delilah.” The voice within her would make a noise, though words not formed, perhaps it was jealous of all the sudden attention. That she was no longer focused on him, but on the second being of a bit more intelligence than the rest of the poor souls here.

“I wished not to be stuck in such a place, not when my mind is still…. Somewhat there.” She tapped her finger against her temple, she was not broken yet, just a bit malfunctioning. Let the man suffer in his own hell for the deeds he had done, let the crazy one keep him company.

“Dr. Jekyll. Why are you here?” She turned her head, glancing over her shoulder, eyes showing the mass amount of curiosity she held. He so easily walked this realm, held himself in a manner of which most did not, not here. He was not a prisoner of this place, not like her. So she was curious as to why he was here.

Jekyll smiled, his pale visage seeming predatory despite his obvious mirth. "I'm here to find others...to aid me in ending the life of this floundering realm," he said softly. There was no hesistation, no room to question the absolute certainty in his voice. "It is my function, Delilah. I guide worlds in the march toward oblivion." He could not help but wonder what trick of fate had placed her here. And why this spirit gravitated to her. "Would you join me and be free of this place? Or will you remain here, lost in this hell till it crumbles around you? I require a guide. I have lost something of great importance. Help me and all you once had and more will be granted to you. And where has your other companion gotten off to?"

The Good Doctor could sense her faintly, an itch in the back of his mind that goaded him. But he would find her...and reclaim his lost power. The Entropy Corps. managed to send her into this world and he would rip it to shreds to find her.

Jekyll approached Delilah with a speed even the most astute of senses would be hard pressed to follow, his white gloved, right index finger poised just in front of her lips. A spark would leap from his outstretched appendage, her sealed lips no defense as it rushed down her throat to her larnyx. There would be no real pain, just a slight burning as if she'd downed a shot of tequila. "I will not force you to serve as my guide, Delilah...but I grant you this gift. You have the freedom you seek. Command the fabric of this reality and it will part for you now," the Doctor whispered softly. "But be warned, that you will only be able to follow me where it is that I go. Speak to the realms and you will be carried to me and to me alone."

He turned on his heels, the forking electricity returning. "I will journey north...I sense what I seek is there. In a land full of the walking dead. Curious..." He pondered this a moment. "I have given you your gift and your choice. What I seek,I must go now to claim. When you have made your choice, follow me or not. It has been a pleasure either way, Delilah." Jekyll took a step and vanished, gone north to the lands he spoke of. Would she follow? He did not know and he savored the uncertainty as he walked the Aether toward his destination. Did these walking dead, these vampires, think that they coukd protect her from him? And would the Entropy Corps. find her? All the factors mattered little. She was his. His one act of hesistancy. Now she held the upper limits of his power in her blood. He had to find her, to take the power back. Soon.
